Statement pieces for the home

One of the things that always draws my attention are statement pieces.  You can either be bang on with the effect that you are looking for or you can go horribly wrong.

If you are looking for something, be sure that you are happy with your choice before the big purchase as usually more often than not a great statement piece is quite costly.

Statement pieces aren't just about furniture they can also include decor accessories, art work, surface finishes (which includes colour and texture) you can make it what ever you want it to be and that's the beauty of it all!

Gorgeous multi-coloured decal

A bold move - no tip toeing around with this one
A great representation of balance and harmony which incorporates
a very old piece of furniture as "the statement"

I just love this - vintage versus contemporary
beautifuly planned out statement pieces which hold their own and are
not conflicting with one another.

A bedroom restyled for a Toddler - Travel Theme

Restyled: from spare room to now a little boys haven.

One of the most important things to remember when working with your client is $$Budget!

Make sure that you know what your boundaries are and don't underestimate.

You can still make a room look amazing no matter how little the budget may be!

I just love the transformation of this room and knowing that a little boy is smiling too.

ME & Hamptons Style Interiors

Ok, well this post was coming ..... I am thinking that most people thought the name of my blog would be because I am a "Revenge" fan!  Absolutely I am.  But my reasoning for the name is somewhat bitter sweet :)

Me with my husband Adam x

I have always wanted to study and be an interior stylist but unfortunately, that was not to be.  I had to be a good little girl and go to "Business College".  My background is Eastern European and both my parents are old school!

So, why did it take me so long - simple answer to that "LIFE" As the world goes round and round so do our lives and the experiences that we have.

There is a special person whom I have to thank for believing in me and understanding my love to do what I love most knowing at the same time that I was scared.  Not scared in the studies that I had ahead of me but with the competition..  On reflection of this, I realised that there was nothing to be afraid of as I believed in myself and so did my friends and my family but especially my wonderful husband Adam.

So, I've just given you a little something about me so now here is a little something for you on the Hamptons Style which I LOVE :)

Kitchen Renovation - Face Lift

The time has come to share a project of mine with all of you.

With a not so crazy budget it's great to know that you can still create something that looks wonderful!

It also helps when you have a client that is flexible but also has some sort of an idea of what they are looking for and what they require of a kitchen i.e. it's not just for show it's also to cook in :)

YAY ...... I'm extremely happy with the outcome and so is my client.
